Mean Dean

Tropical Storm Dean became a hurricane last night and is showing signs of intensifying to a category 2 storm (96 - 110 mph) before it lands in the Caribbean. The islands in the firing line are Dominica, Guadeloupe and Martinique and with these wind speeds damage is expected. The storm is expected to make landfall early on Friday, 17 August and continue intensifying to a category 3 hurricane later that day.
